About The Position

This role oversees the Creative area within the Marketing Division, focusing on graphic design, on-property signage, creative project execution, and department support. The Creative Marketing Manager supervises and guides graphic designers in developing guest-facing materials and coordinates various on-property design projects from conceptualization to implementation. This includes promotional posters, flyers, newsletters, signage, brochures, business supplies, web page design support, theme window displays, holiday decorations, and photo shoot coordination. The manager provides art direction and creative guidance to attract, inform, and engage guests, partnering with departments to understand creative needs and deliver design solutions that support guest experience and operational goals. They also work with a variety of vendors and contacts for assigned projects, graphically design promotional pieces, and oversee the work of designers and vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, brand consistency, and timely completion. Additionally, this role manages logo usage, provides creative support for events and promotions, creates materials for sponsorship needs, and works closely with Marketing Managers and the CMO for various creative support needs. Cooperative marketing efforts with partners are also supported through creative materials and project coordination. The position is responsible for creative purchase orders, budget allocation, vendor contact, and project-budget tracking, ensuring compliance with regulations and protection of company assets. The manager also selects, hires, trains, evaluates, and terminates assigned staff, and creates, implements, and assesses training programs.

Requirements

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or at least six years marketing related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Well versed in Microsoft office products, adobe and publishing and graphics software.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems. Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.
  • Ability to establish procedures for the effective implementation of management’s directives. Prepare complex reports, correspondence, charts, layouts, forms, handbooks, memoranda and other information and instructions.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex management problems having non-standard solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, program budgeting, general accounting, financial analysis, and fiscal management practices.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the activities of the Creative area within the Marketing Division, with primary focus on graphic design, on-property signage, creative project execution, and department support.
  • Supervises, guides, and supports graphic designers in the development of guest-facing creative materials.
  • Coordinates on-property design projects, including conceptualization, coordination, and implementation of promotional posters and flyers, newsletters, indoor and outdoor signage placement, signage replacement and installation, brochures, business supplies, web page design support, theme window display boards, outside holiday decorations, and photo shoot coordination as needed for special projects.
  • Provides art direction and creative guidance for materials that help attract, inform, and engage guests throughout the property.
  • Partners with departments across the property to understand creative needs, prioritize requests, and deliver design solutions that support guest experience and operational goals.
  • Works with graphic designers, signage producers, printers, direct mail houses, consultants, service bureaus, newspapers, magazines, advertising agencies, and other vendors or contacts as needed for assigned projects.
  • Graphically designs promotional pieces, signage, advertisements, and other creative materials as needed.
  • Oversees the work of designers, vendors, and other project contacts to ensure quality, accuracy, brand consistency, and timely completion.
  • Manages logo usage, including regulation of color, placement, and brand standards.
  • Assists other team members with computer graphics and design work.
  • Provides creative support for large events, promotions, sponsorships, and property initiatives.
  • Creates artwork, banners, literature, custom coupons, and other materials for sponsorship needs; maintains relationships with sponsor representatives to support effective creative execution and guest-facing enhancements.
  • Works closely with Marketing Managers and the CMO to coordinate graphic materials, presentations, casino hospitality materials, and other creative support needs.
  • Supports cooperative marketing efforts with hotels, wineries, and other partners through creative materials and project coordination, as assigned.
  • Responsible for Creative purchase orders, budget allocation, ordering status, vendor contact, and related project-budget tracking.
  • Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
  • Ensures control and protection of company assets.
  • Selects, hires, trains, evaluates, terminates, and recommends salary increases for assigned staff.
  • Creates, implements, and assesses training programs for assigned staff.
  • Works nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
