About The Position

Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is seeking creative group facilitators to support adolescents ages 13–17 in its Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Facilitators bring creative, expressive, recreational, and wellness activities into a supportive behavioral health environment to help teens build confidence, express themselves, manage emotions, and develop healthy coping skills. Groups are held on-site in Boca Raton, Florida, weekly or every other week. Each group lasts 75 minutes, including 15 minutes for documentation. Compensation is $70 per group.

Requirements

• Experience facilitating groups, teaching, coaching, or leading creative or wellness activities.
• Background in art instruction, music, yoga, dance, recreational programming, mindfulness, or related disciplines.
• Confidence engaging adolescents and managing group dynamics.
• Strong communication skills, creativity, flexibility, and a people-first approach.
• Consistent availability for weekly or every-other-week on-site groups in Boca Raton.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with adolescents, behavioral health, PHP/IOP programs, trauma-informed practices, or therapeutic recreation.
• Relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities such as art, music, yoga, dance, movement, mindfulness, or expressive arts.
• Encourage self-expression, emotional regulation, confidence, and healthy coping skills.
• Adapt activities to participants’ differing abilities, comfort levels, and group dynamics.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where teens feel safe to participate.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and complete timely group documentation.
