Creative Director - Marketing

Tyson FoodsSpringdale, AR

About The Position

This role owns creative excellence across the brand portfolio — Hillshire Farm, Hillshire Reserve, Ball Park, Aidells, Snacking, and related lines. While the Brand Strategy and the Business Unit teams define where the brands play and why, the Creative Director defines how the brand looks, sounds, and feels across every consumer touchpoint. This is a hands-on creative leadership role: setting the creative vision, raising the craft bar and ensuring campaigns are as distinctive and effective as they are on-strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or agency roles within the Food, Consumer Brand, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a marketing team.
  • Strong track record partnering with brand/strategy leads to bring positioning to life creatively
  • Agency management experience, including budget oversight and vendor evaluation
  • Portfolio spanning multiple channels (packaging, digital/social, video, shopper/in-store)
  • A sharp creative eye paired with a strategic mindset -- you know why the work needs to land, not just how it looks
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Portfolio review demonstrating strong conceptual and craft work highly preferred.

  • Serve as final creative gatekeeper for major campaigns and launches, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and creative quality standards.
  • Present creative concepts and work-in-progress to senior leadership and cross-functional partners. Translate business objectives into compelling creative briefs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, production houses, and freelancers. Negotiate contracts and manage deliverables.
  • Work closely with brand strategy, digital, shopper marketing, social and legal/regulatory teams to ensure creative is strategically sound, channel-optimized, and compliant.
  • Stay ahead of creative, cultural, and platform trends (social formats, AI-assisted production, etc.) and bring fresh thinking to a legacy portfolio.
  • Manage production budgets with an eye toward efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Establish scalable creative workflows and review processes that let the team move quickly without sacrificing quality, especially across a multi-brand portfolio.
