About The Position

Working on the Design Functional Team, you'll shape marketing creative for DuckDuckGo's growing portfolio spanning Duck.ai, search, browsers, and subscriptions, using tools like Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, and work on related projects. Recent projects include: Creative campaigns introducing App Tracking Protection to help people block hidden trackers on Android. Marketing creative supporting the launch and growth of Duck.ai, our free, private way to chat with multiple AI models. As a Creative Design Lead (Senior Designer II) you'll be a hands-on creative force and idea generator, taking full ownership of design work from concept through execution across multiple concurrent campaigns. You'll drive high-craft, on-brand creative for Duck.ai, Search/Browse, and Subscriptions with minimal oversight, while advising fellow designers on marketing and brand execution. You'll navigate cross-functional stakeholders during scoping and ideation, evolve our brand language with fresh creative concepts, and help build reusable systems that make marketing production more efficient, growing into a go-to advisor for brand and marketing design across the team.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of hands-on marketing or advertising design experience.
  • 2+ years at a recognisable consumer-facing tech brand (either working in house or agency side).
  • A versatile designer with a portfolio demonstrating range, depth, strong execution, and a distinct creative point of view.
  • Highly proficient in design fundamentals, including typography, colour, and composition.
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Exceptional creativity, aesthetic judgment, and design intuition.
  • Creative Direction experience - highly experienced in developing original ideas and leading the creative direction, conceptual, strategic execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Comfortable driving projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, creative direction, and delivery.
  • Impact-driven, using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strong at generating ideas, exploring multiple creative directions, and inspiring peers.
  • Able to communicate ideas clearly through written project scopes that define the problem, user impact, and proposed path forward.

  • Experience advising or mentoring other designers is a plus.
