About The Position

This is a self-directed position requiring the Associate to have the ability to understand and read micrometers to accurately operate the grinding lathe to grind crankshaft rod and main journal to required specifications. Requires positioning crankshaft from a floor rack into the machine and back for shipment. Knowing, understanding, and performing machine set-up and preventative maintenance is required.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and read micrometers.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 15 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx. 8-10 hours).
• Ability to use handheld tools such as hammer and hand grinder.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding lathe to grind crankshaft rod and main journal to required specifications.
• Position crankshaft from a floor rack into the machine and back for shipment.
• Perform machine set-up and preventative maintenance.
