About The Position

Operates Overhead Traveling Crane to transport lifts to and from common carriers and storage areas. The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.

Requirements

• Experience on this and related work of 3 to 6 months.
• Exercise judgement operating crane.
• Operates variable controls to operate overhead crane.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Abide by plant safety rules, and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Checks all equipment before start of shift.
• Operates crane to transport lifts to and from common carriers and storage areas.
• Operates up under to position coils.
• Engages with dispatcher to locate and mark coils for proper identification with tags, stickers, stencils, etc.
• Engages with dispatcher to operate job hoist to separate and hand coils.
• Daily checks and reports conditions of crane to Foreman.
• Uses broom, shovel, rags, etc. to keep equipment and storage area clean and orderly.
