About The Position

This is a field-based service role where you will spend most of your time traveling to customer sites, diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and being accountable for getting equipment safely back into operation with minimal supervision. The role requires technicians who can operate in real-world environments where safety, uptime, and technical execution matter. Strong technicians build real reputations at ACECO, and this role is not for those who prefer working in a shop or controlled environment, need constant direction or supervision, or struggle with travel, on-call responsibilities, or customer-facing work.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
  • Eligibility to access export-controlled information where applicable
  • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment
  • Ability to meet the posted work schedule and travel requirements
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when required
  • Willingness to complete required safety and compliance training

  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities and secure sites
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, climb ladders, and perform confined space work
  • Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade certifications
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience servicing electric overhead cranes and hoists
  • Strong field service experience in industrial environments

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Service electric overhead cranes and hoists (mechanical and electrical systems)
  • Troubleshoot and repair 480 VAC / 3-phase electrical systems
  • Perform work independently while adhering to all safety and quality standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and internal teams
  • Represent ACECO professionally at all job sites
  • Provide clear updates and recommendations based on equipment condition
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation
  • Track work performed, findings, and follow-up needs
  • Maintain accountability for service quality and reporting accuracy
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally as required
  • Support urgent customer needs when necessary
