About The Position

This role is responsible for managing crane and hoist operations, including team and subcontractor management, extensive travel to job sites and offices for business development and process improvement, and strategic communication with executives. The position requires a deep understanding of crane and hoist department operations, safety standards, lift planning, and industry trends. The goal is to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the crane industry including experience in operations or service
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements
Professionalism and ability to make excellent first impressions
Experience in managing a team of direct reports
Excellent communication skills
Customer service minded
Contract Management experience
Ability to leverage resources to solve problems

Responsibilities

Management responsibilities with team or subcontractors
Extensive Travel (75 %) to jobsites and office locations to meet with preconstruction for budgeting, vendor meetings, conferences and other business development functions
Communicate with Executives within Brasfield & Gorrie and other companies
Create and present department strategic initiatives to company management
Evaluate current crane/hoist processes and procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement
Maintain an understanding of the crane and hoist department operations
Understand and enforce general industry safety standards
Manage lift planning processes
Develop strategic relationships internally and externally
Identify industry trends that will impact Brasfield and Gorrie
