About The Position

We are hiring multi-skilled craftsmen/professional handymen to join our team as independent contractors (1099). We handle various home repair and remodel jobs in the St. Charles County and Chesterfield/West County areas. The work ranges from simple tasks like changing a faucet to full remodels, and from repairing a few deck boards to building a complete deck. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on repair and remodel work, take pride in their work and reputation, but are tired of managing all aspects of running a business. We offer a local support team to help manage the business side, allowing you to focus on the work itself.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• General Liability and Workers Comp are required as 1099.
• 7+ years of home repair and remodel experience.
• Multi-skilled in some of the following: carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, tile, light electrical, light plumbing.
• Prove hands-on skills with good knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the handyman and home improvement industry.
• Ability to learn and operate some basic computer programs and systems.
• Friendly personality and committed to great customer service.
• A strong work ethic and highly dependable.
• Able to do physical labor work including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), safely working on ladders, and handling tools.

Nice To Haves

• Siding repairs or commercial maintenance and build-out experiences are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete various residential and commercial handyman repairs, maintenance, and small to medium home improvement jobs.
• Jobs typically involve various skills such as carpentry, drywall, painting, light plumbing and electrical, flooring, decks, fence, small siding repairs, deck/fence repairs & rebuilds, bath and kitchen remodels, etc.
• Deliver excellent work quality and customer service.
• Keep a clean and safe job site.
• Represent House Doctors STL on our jobs.
