About The Position

A Craftsman performs or assists with removing, fitting, and applying insulation materials and coverings according to the job scope. The role also includes general site work, such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site cleanup and preparation, mobilizing and demobilizing to and from job sites, and general construction tasks. Craftsmen may work unsupervised and are responsible for ensuring work continues when the Field Foreman is absent.

Requirements

Able to perform heavy lifting, which is often required.
Able to kneel, squat, and climb.
Able to perform required duties for extended periods in confined spaces, often while using breathing equipment.
Able to tolerate extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
Qualifications are determined by Apache Management and may be assessed through interviews with management, employees, and/or previous employers.

Responsibilities

Follow verbal directions to perform assigned duties.
Assist with removing, fitting, and applying insulation materials and coverings as required by the job scope.
Load and unload equipment and materials, prepare and clean job sites, and perform general construction tasks.
Mobilize and demobilize to and from job sites.
Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
Help carpenters, masons, and other specialized contractors with cleanup of work areas, supplies, materials, and equipment.
Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.
Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman about job-site issues and concerns.
Ensure work continues in the Field Foreman’s absence.
Comply with Apache and client safety policies and programs.
Use tools and machines that may include blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water-spraying equipment.
