About The Position

The Craft Workforce Administrative Assistant plays a key role in building high-performing project teams by managing the administrative processes that support the craft workforce. This position provides administrative support to the Solar Operations team, including project teams and field leadership. The role supports the craft workforce by assisting with onboarding and new hire orientations, performing high-volume, detail-oriented data entry, and maintaining accurate records related to craft workforce, projects, and operations. The assistant will develop and maintain organized filing systems, support the creation and maintenance of housing lists and logistics for project mobilizations, and assist with preparing and maintaining workforce and project-related tracking spreadsheets, reports, and templates. Effective communication with project teams, craft workforce members, vendors, and internal stakeholders is essential, as is developing and maintaining strong, service-oriented relationships. The role requires travel to project sites as needed (approximately up to 25% travel) to support onboarding, operations administration, and project needs. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
  • Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset.
