About The Position

Isola is hiring a CPP Cutting Operator for its Chandler, Arizona location. This B-level role operates a Rosenthal or USUN machine to fabricate prepreg rolls into sheets and transfers the fabricated sheets in a timely manner for the tooling process. B-level employees cross-train on A- and B-level positions within the CPP/Collation department. The schedule is 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Wednesday. Overtime with extended shifts and weekend work is required. Compensation is $22 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate.
At least six months of experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar industrial environment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow work instructions, communicate safety information, and complete job-related documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, verbally and in writing.
Basic computer proficiency, including using a PC to enter and retrieve information.
Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to eight hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Review and understand work orders, verifying information against customer profiles.
Set up prepreg rolls on the machine according to proper procedures.
Enter length specifications and adjust slitters to the required panel width.
Adjust machine speed, air pressure, and other settings as needed to ensure accurate cuts.
Remove fabricated prepreg sheets from the machine, stack them, and move them to the tooling area.
Inspect sheets for quality issues and take appropriate corrective action.
Return unused prepreg rolls to the staging area for restocking.
Meet daily productivity requirements.
Complete Production and Scrap Report forms as needed.
Maintain a clean work area, including vacuuming dust after each roll and blade change.
Assist other operators to support timely product shipment.
Use Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve the process.
Cross-train on A- and B-level positions within the CPP/Collation department.
