About The Position
Performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the Hospital complex to include installation, preventative maintenance and repair of hospital machinery and mechanical equipment according to Hospital priorities and ensure safe operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in minor equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
- Requires the ability to resolve simple problems involving math and technical skills.
- Requires the ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions.
- Occasional contact with patients, visitors, and staff, which requires tact and courtesy.
- Requires the ability to read and write English.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of duties that include installation, operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
- Responds to emergency calls, as necessary.
- Maintains all tools and equipment properly and inspects for proper function prior to use.
- Maintains work area in a clean and neat manner according to department standards.
