About The Position

This person is trained in both the process and the packaging areas of the operation. The Cover Person is able to fill in at various jobs at times of need or problem situations.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and two years related work experience
Forklift Experience
Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift certification
Knowledge of raw materials, production process
Knowledge of arithmetic and their applications
Knowledge of computers and electronics
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule/specification
Ability to communicate effectively with others orally or in writing
Attention to detail
Ability to read and understand information
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Basic mathematical and reasoning skills
Basic mechanical skills and trouble shooting skills
Ability to concentrate in a fast-paced environment
Required to learn each departmental area; batching, filling, packaging, and palletizing

Responsibilities

Understands the essential duties and responsibilities of the process areas (batching, filling, packaging, and packaging driving).
Designated break, lunch relief, and fill in for team members who are absent for the process and packaging area.
Understands the Critical Control Points, routine, daily checks, and the documentation required in all production areas.
Adheres to and understands Safety programs.
Understands and uses current Good Manufacturing Practices to perform work.
Understands and uses the Standard Operating Procedures for the area.
Other duties as assigned.
Training and mentoring employees, including new hires.
