About The Position

The Courtesy Patrol Officer observes and reports incidents occurring on assigned properties, enforces property rules and regulations, and escalates concerns to property management or law enforcement as necessary to help protect residents and property. The role includes documenting patrol activity and incidents, communicating with guests and management, carrying out basic floor-cleaning duties, and following security procedures and protocols. Officers must attend required continuing training and may be assigned other duties.

Requirements

• Able to obtain a valid security license in applicable jurisdictions.
• Able to obtain a security belt, handcuffs, flashlight, and pepper spray.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines.
• Continuous standing and walking throughout each shift; bending, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with customers.
• Ability to multitask and remain positive in busy working conditions.
• Schedule flexibility, including nights and weekends.
• Comply with brand and Company uniform and hygiene policies.

Nice To Haves

• Two years’ experience in security is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report property activity.
• Use incident reports to document use of force, law enforcement activity, guest injuries, and property damage.
• Maintain a daily activity report documenting patrols, guest communications, property violations, safety concerns, light surveys, vacancy inspections, and other relevant information.
• Receive calls from management about changes in operations, service, or general communication.
• Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors on an ongoing basis.
• Read and follow security procedures and protocols at all times.
• Attend required continuing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Enforce property rules and regulations and escalate concerns to property management or law enforcement as necessary.
