The Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at checkout, helps customers with their purchases, maintains merchandise and store areas, and supports a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities

Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring items are not damaged.
Follow best practices when bagging items in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
Help remove customers' merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
Perform basic shelf conditioning.
Inform customers about grocery specials.
Return merchandise to store shelves.
Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
Clean spills and collect and pick up trash inside the store and in the parking lot.
Clean areas inside and outside the store.
Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
Learn the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
Reinforce safety programs by following procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues, and notifying store management.
Follow food safety regulations and guidelines.
Inspect equipment as part of preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager when repairs are needed.
Welcome customers and answer questions about products in the department and throughout the store.
Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively.
Handle customer and business information honestly and with integrity.
