About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
  • Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative support tasks with strict deadlines in a busy business or professional setting.
  • Experience using a computer and different software programs to accomplish a variety of tasks that include performing data entry, scheduling events in electronic calendars, and updating information.
  • Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances.
  • Skill in writing and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience identifying and safeguarding confidential information and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Start new cases.
  • Enter data into our automated case tracking system.
  • Process a variety of reports.
  • Review files to determine next steps and forward them to judges, supervisors, and administrative authorities.
  • Accept and record documents, checking them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process orders, judgments, decrees, and other legal documents.
  • Help parties, attorneys, agencies, and the public use the court system by explaining policies and procedures.
  • Help customers use our public computer terminals.
  • Answer questions and correspondence related to the status of cases and the court calendar.
  • Answer complex questions about case processing, dockets, and scheduling proceedings.
  • Provide customer service at the counter and over the phone for the domestic relations team.
  • Serve as a backup cashier.
