About The Position

The Court Operations Leadworker II serves as a division leader and positive role model by utilizing specialized clerical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of division practices to contribute to the District's mission, vision, and values. This position requires excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills as well as the ability to work independently and delegate responsibilities when appropriate. This position provides excellent customer service, overseeing, creating and providing staff training, and operational support responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Court Operations Associate, Court Operations Specialist, Court Operations Leadworker, or equivalent experience.
  • As this position will be working partially remotely, access to reliable internet connection is required during this time.
  • Knowledge of current day-to-day court operations, functions, and scope of authority.
  • Working knowledge of current Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS) case processing, including processing financials, court procedures and policies related to both the administrative office and the ability to apply these as needed.
  • Experience writing job procedures and developing training materials in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in providing one-on-one training.
  • Experience in planning and monitoring the work of others.
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and plan and coordinate the daily work of other employees who are engaged in a variety of work assignments.
  • Self-directed and motivated with demonstrated leadership skills, the ability to independently make decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships while providing guidance, direction, and motivation for others.
  • Ability to adapt technical and procedural training to various learning styles of staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and meet individual responsibilities while addressing the needs of the team, customers, and justice partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Outlook and Documentum (AX).

Responsibilities

  • Model leadership within the division through extensive training in case processing, and office functions that include initiating and processing documents for all case types, front counter customer service, and records, including monitoring workload and coverage and leading the team through change in conjunction with management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and is a positive role model by demonstrating exceptional interpersonal communication, technical skills, initiative and motivation in contributing to the district’s mission, vision, and values. This position performs case processing, extensive staff training, operational support, and working extensive data quality reports. Work is completed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires dedication to providing excellent customer service, application of specialized clerical knowledge, and a comprehensive understanding of procedures.
  • Use knowledge of court operations, technical expertise, advanced problem-solving skills, and leadership skills to serve as a primary resource for staff and internal/external stakeholders. Coach and mentor staff in the supervisor’s absence.
  • Proactively identify workflow or process issues and make accurate and timely decisions in the face of ambiguous or difficult situations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to lead and coordinate the work of others and to resolve difficult, unique, and urgent case-processing issues. Provide consistent training in court operations under limited supervision.
