The City of Chandler Municipal Court is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Court Clerk. This position may work one of the following schedules, including weekends and holidays: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday - Friday 7:15 am - 5:15 pm and Saturday 7:15 am - 11:15 am, or Monday - Thursday 7:15 am - 5:15 pm and Sunday 7:15 am - 11:15 am. As part of the recruitment process, applicants selected to move forward will be notified and required to attend one of the following Court Clerk Career Preview events: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 | 1:30 p.m. or Wednesday, August 19, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. The Court Clerk Career Preview will last one hour and is designed to provide a realistic overview of the Court Clerk position. Participants will have the opportunity to observe the work environment, learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of the position, and gain a better understanding of the expectations of the role before interviews are conducted. Attendance at one Court Clerk Career Preview Event is required to remain eligible for consideration. Please note that attendance at the Career Preview does not guarantee an interview. Interviews are anticipated for Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Applicants selected to interview will be notified following the Career Preview Event. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler. The Chandler Municipal Court is the Judicial Branch of the Chandler city government and is also a part of the Arizona Judicial System. The Chandler Municipal Court serves the public and contributes to the quality of life in our community by fairly, impartially, and promptly administering justice in an effective, efficient, and professional manner. Chandler Municipal Court is responsible for adjudicating criminal misdemeanors, criminal and civil traffic violations, city code violations, ensuring compliance with court orders, and upholding the integrity of the judicial process. The Court also serves the community by issuing Injunctions Against Harassment and Protective Orders. Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, public service environment. As a Court Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting the judicial process, ensuring accurate records, and delivering exceptional service to court users and internal stakeholders. If you take pride in being punctual, professional, and precise, we want to meet you. This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment. These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city’s Drug Free Workplace Policy. Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
