The position requires announcing the opening and closing of court proceedings, marking and maintaining exhibits and lists, recording court proceedings, and preparing accurate summaries. Jury clerk duties include preparing and distributing jury schedules, juror notices, routing requests for excusal and deferral to the judicial officer, and documenting juror attendance. Additional responsibilities include managing minor offense cases using CourtView/OnBase to open, calendar, and close cases, performing records research and requests, and handling daily mail at the post office. The role also encompasses vital statistics duties, assisting the public with marriage license applications, and preparing marriage licenses for signature. Furthermore, the position provides customer service at the front counter and over the phone, accepts incoming filings, and collects money for fines, fees, bail, etc., producing receipts.
