About The Position

This position will perform customer service duties and process criminal case documents. Employees transferring from another State of Alaska agency may receive consideration for advance step placement. Employees working in this job classification will be considered for annual salary increases upon successful completion of a 1-year probationary period. This job classification will promote to range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court. This position will process District and Superior Court criminal files from open to close. You will accept charging documents, issue summons and/or arrest warrants, calendar cases for arraignment, coordinate prisoner transport, and enter information into the case management system. You will also respond to inquiries in writing, in person, or by phone from court personnel, attorneys, other agencies, and the general public regarding policies, procedures, and rules on all criminal matters. Additionally, you will be responsible for running designated reports, receipting monies for bail, fines, court cost, and restitution, and serve as back up in-court clerk as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • One year of office clerical experience.
  • Legal right to accept employment in the United States.

  • Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations, if available.
