About The Position

This competition is open to all applicants; however, internal candidates and applicants who were former employees of the University of Alberta will be given priority consideration before external candidates. Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus, Edmonton. Reporting to the Director, Office of Education, the Course Scheduling and Timetabling Coordinator (CSTC) is part of a team that provides dedicated support to academic units in the College, working collaboratively with academic and administrative leaders to construct an academic timetable that best meets the needs of students (undergraduate and graduate), professors, and academic programs. The CSTC ensures that class and exam scheduling, enrollment restrictions, and space assignments are accurately reflected in Campus Solutions. They are also responsible for documenting timelines, room booking, and exam planning processes, and ensuring that those procedures are in practice and completed to schedule. By providing expert policy and business process support, the CSTC is seen as a knowledge expert who works proactively to resolve issues and continually improve processes. Through this understanding of process, the CSTC is well positioned to provide superior service across Faculties and Departments, as well as liaising with the Registrar's Office.
