About The Position

A unionized contractual lecturer appointment to teach Course MECH 309 Numerical Methods in Mechanical Engineering. A Course assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities: Preparation of the course and course plan, Delivery of the course, Evaluation of students, Submitting to the University a report on students attendance and student grades, Supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff, Upon request review of their students' grades, Meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning course content and requirements. This position is within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at McGill University for the Fall 2026 term.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching or in industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Understanding cross-cultural practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexible approach to teaching
