About The Position
A unionized contractual lecturer appointment to teach Course MECH 559 Engineering Systems Optimization. A Course assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities: Preparation of the course and course plan, Delivery of the course, Evaluation of students, Submitting to the University a report on students attendance and student grades, Supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff, Upon request review of their students' grades, Meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning course content and requirements. McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English Language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and writing.
Requirements
- Minimum of Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- Sufficient theoretical background on systems-oriented engineering design optimization
- Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English
- Understanding cross-cultural practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching
