About The Position

eCornell is seeking experienced professionals to facilitate its AI/ML Technology and Architecture certificate programs. Facilitators support the delivery of content created by Cornell faculty; they are not course authors or adjunct faculty. The programs help working professionals move from using AI to building with it through hands-on Python work covering applied machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, AI-powered applications and agents, and AI strategy and governance. Facilitators complement asynchronous course content by leading live online discussions, providing personalized written and recorded-video feedback, coaching learners through code and technical challenges, and fostering an interactive student experience. The role requires consistent engagement and preparation for at least one to two courses per month. Facilitators complete in-depth onboarding, including shadowing live courses and participating in debrief sessions, and take part in ongoing training and professional development. The position is remote and open to candidates anywhere in the United States. It is a casual, non-benefits-eligible position. Employment visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available. The role requires New York State individual tax reporting and withholdings under New York Convenience of employer guidelines; additional state income tax filings may be required when working temporarily outside New York State.

  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs, such as with LoRA or DPO; working with open models from the Hugging Face Hub; building Model Context Protocol servers; or developing autonomous and multi-agent systems.
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and deep-learning frameworks such as TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and firsthand experience with AI opportunity assessment, AI governance and risk management, production model evaluation, and the trade-offs involved in taking AI solutions from prototype to deployment.
  • Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring technical professionals.
  • Optional Loom video response (three minutes maximum) addressing what excites the applicant about facilitating at eCornell and how they would bring that enthusiasm to student interactions; the video link may be included in the cover letter.

Responsibilities
