Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT
About The Position
Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, and provides coverage for assigned routes within the station's service area. The position also performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned. This role requires customer contact and a neat appearance. The employee must meet and maintain qualifications under federal motor carrier safety regulations, complete a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations, and maintain a valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle and a good driving record. The role is a non-covered safety-sensitive position and requires constant alertness and safe work practices. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Pay ranges from $23.52 to $33.84 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
- Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
- Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license that meets state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record as outlined in company policy.
- Ability to remain constantly alert and work safely.
- Neat appearance due to customer contact.
Nice To Haves
