About The Position

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, and provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area. Also performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position; the schedule is to be determined.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages weighing more than 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Must complete a medical examination in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license that meets state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Ability to remain constantly alert and work safely.
• Neat appearance, as the role involves customer contact.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of courier experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate area knowledge.
