GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Under general supervision, to apply effective procedures in providing Courier Service for Driscoll Health System on an assigned shift and to perform related duties as required. Operates vehicles in safe and prudent manner. Assures the vehicles are kept clean and serviced. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Perform courier service duties for different departments as necessary such as stat labs, equipment retrieval on campus, warehouse etc. Know routes for pickup and deliveries. Be friendly and courteous to all you encounter such as staff, visitors, physicians, etc. Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines. Know layout of the hospital and newly constructed areas. Answer telephone, keep written log of calls when required. Participate in maintaining equipment. Keep vehicle cleaned and serviced as needed. Respond to calls for service. Maintains a log of all trips. Know basic computer skills. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License with a clear status.
