About The Position

This position coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents, including medical appointments and facility outings. The role also assists all departments with transportation needs for residents and/or potential prospects. Key responsibilities include vehicle maintenance and general upkeep, as well as assisting the transportation coordinator with vehicle service calls. The individual is expected to demonstrate positive customer service behaviors consistently, striving to meet or exceed the needs of the facility's customers/residents by showing flexibility and a sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience. The role requires assuring safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures and notifying the Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when vehicle maintenance is needed. The Courier/Driver will plan transportation routes to decrease vehicle mileage and gas consumption, complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles, as well as logging resident participation on facility outings. The ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining positive interactions with team members, residents, and visitors, and assisting customers with billing inquiries, questions, or concerns with timely follow-up are also essential.

Requirements

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - DMV Upon Hire
Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
Valid Drivers License

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
2 years Experience driving commercial vehicles

Responsible for maintaining transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles as well as logging residents participation on facility outings.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines, received minimal customer complaints).
Maintains positive interactions with fellow team members, residents and visitors.
Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions or concerns.
Provides follow up in a timely manner.
