About The Position

First Legal is a comprehensive File Thru Trial™ solutions firm providing litigation support services, including court filing, eFiling, service of process, court reporting, eDiscovery, record retrieval, digital services, and investigations. The Courier Driver picks up and delivers documents, mail, packages, boxes, and other items to businesses and residences throughout Maricopa County and surrounding areas. The role also involves filing documents at county courthouses, obtaining and copying records, completing limited process-serving requests, and submitting requests for police reports.

The position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Compensation is $18 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. The courier must use their own vehicle and be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be needed.

Requirements

• Must use their own vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with 2 points or less.
• Valid auto insurance, checked quarterly.
• Must pass a background check.
• Courier or driving experience required.
• Professional and helpful manner with clients.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Drive courteously and follow all traffic laws.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Able to lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver documents, mail, packages, boxes, and other items to businesses and residences.

• Obtain record requests from records departments and make copies of records.
• Complete limited process-serving requests.

• Establish strong working relationships with clients.
• Inform the Supervisor of problems.
