This role is responsible for providing superior guest service and positively affecting interactions with guests and employees. The Countroom Clerk I must have the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. At all times, the clerk must maintain control of all casino assets and follow all procedures for collection, counting, and asset security. This includes counting all money and chips collected from the gaming floor, completing all necessary paperwork and documentation timely, accurately, and legibly, and ensuring the appropriate use and maintenance of equipment and machinery used for transporting and counting funds. The clerk will also assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any items left on the floor by guests, have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities, and assist as needed. The work area must be kept in a clean and orderly manner. The clerk must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same. They will handle routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel, and seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships. A flexible schedule is required, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts that may change. Other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management will also be performed.
