About The Position
The Countertop Laser Template Technician is responsible for collecting accurate field measurements of countertop spaces using laser templating technology. This role supports the Surfaces / Natural Stone division by ensuring precise specifications for fabrication and installation. The position works closely with internal teams and customers to deliver a high level of service and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or layouts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use technology and learn specialized measurement software and equipment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in construction, cabinetry, stone fabrication, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform measurements using laser templating equipment for countertop installations
- Review project details, layouts, and specifications prior to templating
- Communicate with customers, installers, and internal teams to confirm scope and address field conditions
- Identify and document discrepancies, potential issues, or required adjustments
- Ensure all measurements and related documentation are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Follow company standards, safety guidelines, and best practices
