Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Network Planning Lead

ECS Tech Inc•Alexandria, VA
•$129,580 - $194,367

About The Position

Everforth ECS Federal is seeking a C-sUAS Network Planning Lead to support a Department of War customer in the National Capital Region. The position plans, designs, and technically integrates networks for counter-unmanned aircraft systems experimentation, assessment, and rapid fielding. The lead translates Service and combatant commander requirements into executable network plans and coordinates the technical activities required to support each event. The role works directly with supported-unit and combatant command communications staffs, technical teams, and vendors to integrate new capabilities and associated data into fires and air defense networks. It directs live technical integrations, identifies interoperability constraints, and coordinates resolution of network and data exchange issues that could affect experimentation or fielding. This is a fast-moving headquarters environment in a growing organization where mission requirements and processes continue to evolve. The role requires a technical lead who operates with minimal supervision, takes initiative, communicates credibly with military and civilian leadership, and explains technical problems in terms of their operational impact.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree; relevant experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Experience planning and implementing fires and Air Defense Artillery (ADA) data networks.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate operational requirements into network designs and executable technical integration plans.
  • Ability to lead hands-on technical integration and troubleshoot network connectivity, interoperability, and data exchange problems.
  • Ability to coordinate technical work with military communications staffs, vendors, and other mission partners, and communicate requirements across technical and operational audiences.
  • Ability to develop clear network documentation and brief network designs, technical risks, and integration status to military and civilian leadership.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to organize and execute work with minimal supervision in an evolving, high-tempo environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of experimentation, assessment, and fielding activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead network planning, integration, and technical support for experimentation, assessment, and rapid fielding events in support of Service and combatant commander requirements.
  • Translate operational requirements into network designs and integration plans that account for participating systems, supported-unit infrastructure, and required data exchanges.
  • Coordinate with supported-unit and combatant command communications staff elements to define connectivity requirements, identify network constraints, and synchronize technical preparations.
  • Plan and lead live technical integrations, establishing the sequence of activities, technical responsibilities, and checks needed to confirm systems can exchange required data.
  • Work directly with vendors to integrate new C-UAS systems and associated data, clarify interface requirements, and resolve compatibility issues across participating systems.
  • Coordinate network troubleshooting during integration and fielding activities with vendors and supported units to isolate connectivity problems and restore required data exchanges.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, integration plans, and configuration documentation as participating systems and mission requirements change.
  • Assess network integration readiness, identify unresolved dependencies and technical risks, and communicate their implications for event execution and fielding to government leads.
  • Coordinate technical work across network planners, supported staffs, and vendor teams, and brief network designs, integration status, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Document integration results, unresolved deficiencies, and lessons learned, and incorporate improvements into subsequent experimentation and fielding plans.
