Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Network Planner

ECS Tech Inc•Alexandria, VA
•$121,154 - $178,020

About The Position

Everforth ECS Federal is seeking a C-sUAS Network Planner to support a Department of War customer in the National Capital Region. The Network Planner plans and implements networks connecting counter-unmanned aircraft systems capabilities with existing fires and air defense networks. The role supports experimentation, assessment, rapid fielding, and operational activities by translating Service and combatant commander requirements into working network configurations and technical integrations. The position works directly with supported-unit and combatant command communications staffs and vendors to establish connectivity, integrate new systems and associated data, and resolve interoperability issues. It includes hands-on integration, documentation of working configurations, and identification of technical constraints that could affect event execution or operational use. The environment is fast-moving, with changing participating systems and requirements, and calls for initiative, systematic troubleshooting, effective coordination across organizations, and clear explanation of technical issues in terms of operational impact. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel in support of experimentation, assessment, fielding, and operational activities. Salary range: $121,154–$178,020.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree; relevant experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Experience planning and implementing fires and Air Defense Artillery (ADA) data networks.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher.
  • Experience translating operational requirements into network plans and implementing configurations needed to support technical integration.
  • Hands-on ability to troubleshoot connectivity, interoperability, and data exchange problems across participating systems.
  • Ability to coordinate network implementation and issue resolution with military communications staffs, vendors, and other technical teams.
  • Ability to produce accurate network documentation and communicate configuration requirements, integration status, and unresolved technical risks.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to execute assigned work with minimal supervision in an evolving environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of experimentation, assessment, fielding, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement network configurations that integrate C-UAS capabilities into fires and air defense networks for experimentation, assessment, fielding, and operational activities.
  • Translate operational connectivity requirements into detailed network plans, configuration requirements, and technical integration tasks.
  • Coordinate with supported-unit and combatant command communications staff elements to identify available infrastructure, required connectivity, and data exchange dependencies.
  • Work with vendors to clarify system interfaces, integrate new capabilities and associated data, and identify compatibility issues before live integration.
  • Execute live technical integrations, verify participating systems, establish connectivity, and exchange data required by the event or supported unit.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, configuration, and interface problems, coordinating corrective actions with vendors and supported-unit technical personnel.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, connection details, configuration records, and integration procedures for repeatable implementation.
  • Assess network readiness, document unresolved technical constraints, and communicate their implications for event execution or operational support to government leads.
  • Coordinate proposed network changes with supported communications and security personnel to maintain consistency with established technical and connection requirements.
  • Document integration results, unresolved deficiencies, and lessons learned, and incorporate approved improvements into follow-on network plans and technical activities.
