About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an experienced, results-driven Counter Sales Supervisor to lead and participate in the daily operations of a plumbing and HVAC parts counter. The role combines team leadership, advanced product knowledge, and consultative selling to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales performance, and build a high-performing team. The supervisor works alongside associates to assist customers and process transactions while aligning counter operations with company sales strategies. This is an onsite position in West Palm Beach, Florida. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday shift from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in counter sales, customer service, or a related industry.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance.
Advanced product knowledge and consultative selling skills.
Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Digital literacy and ability to analyze sales and inventory data.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Plumbing or HVAC experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily counter operations to maintain efficient workflow and outstanding customer service.
Assist customers at the counter, by phone, and by email, providing expert guidance and recommending solutions.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system.
Coach and mentor Counter Sales Associates and Senior Counter Sales Associates to improve product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer engagement.
Drive sales growth by monitoring performance, setting goals, and implementing upselling, cross-selling, and strategic product promotion strategies.
Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with Branch Management and Outside Sales to carry out local sales initiatives and achieve revenue targets.
Manage staffing needs, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintain inventory control, oversee cycle counts, and ensure timely processing of special orders.
Implement merchandising strategies to optimize product displays and promotional effectiveness.
Stay current on industry trends and new product offerings.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
