About The Position

This is a unique hybrid position that blends in-store customer sales with local driving and delivery. If you enjoy building customer relationships, have a knack for sales, and hold a CDL, this is the perfect position for you! The role involves moving between sales, warehouse operations, and local driving.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a Class A or B CDL.
Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired.
Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
Adherence to safety regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

Selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment.
Soliciting sales from both new and existing customers.
Assisting customers via email, telephone, and in-person walk-ins.
Providing guidance on equipment usage and material requirements.
Managing the loading and unloading of cylinders.
Operating forklifts.
Serving as a backup driver when necessary.
Monitoring and maintaining proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to prevent supply emergencies.
Managing accounts receivable, including discussing past-due accounts and collecting payments.
Ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
