About The Position

Viking Electric, a provider of electrical products and services to contractors, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate Backup Driver in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for delivering essential electrical products from the warehouse to customers. The position involves daily vehicle inspections, loading materials, making local deliveries, and assisting customers with unloading. As the face of the company, the associate will build strong customer relationships. Viking Electric operates throughout the Midwest and is part of the Sonepar group, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Be at least 21 years old
Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
Basic English communication skills
Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
1 year of related experience and/or training

Class B CDL license

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
Transport and deliver products to customers with care
Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
Fill orders and issues materials and supplies per requests
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks or dollies
Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other warehouse duties as assigned
