About The Position
Interstate Utility Trailer, established in 1975 and a leading semi-trailer dealership in North America, is seeking a counter parts person for its Parts Department at its Indianapolis IN location. The ideal candidate will have experience with truck or trailer parts and possess an outgoing, detail-oriented personality with a passion for helping customers. Responsibilities
- Greeting Customers promptly and courteously
- Properly identify needed items using internet and parts catalogs
- Suggest additional parts and accessories for purchase
- Pulling in stock items from inventory
- Ensure that all parts are picked up or delivered on time
- Completing all required documents before disbursing parts
- Enter all necessary information into inventory control system
- Provide updated information for stock orders
- Return all unsold merchandise back to stock
- Check in parts, match packing list to orders
- Put away received parts in proper bins/location
- Taking customer trailer part orders both at the counter and on the telephone and placing those orders in our parts inventory system.
- Stocking and re-stocking parts inventory in our parts warehouse.
- Conducting periodic parts cycle counts to reconcile in-stock inventory
