Count Room Representative - Full Time (Horseshoe Hammond)
About The Position
The Count Room Representative performs duties to ensure that all currency is accurately counted. This labor position involves counting and strapping currency from bill validator cash boxes and table games drop boxes, recording and verifying amounts, and processing reports and transactions in the SIS and LGS systems. The role also supports NRT machine operations, including preparing funds for settlement. The work requires significant time on one's feet and takes place in casino-floor and back-of-house areas, including environments with secondary smoke exposure, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of mathematics.
- Education equivalent to high school plus some additional specialized training.
- Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable.
- Access to the vessel is required.
- Able to maneuver in and around work areas on the casino floor and in back-of-house areas.
- Able to push and pull carts up to 75 pounds and carry boxes filled with currency and chips weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to grip objects and demonstrate good finger dexterity for counting and handling currency.
- Able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time (8+ hours).
- Physically able to crawl, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as needed.
- Must tolerate working in environments with secondary smoke exposure and in areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Responsibilities
- Count and strap currency from bill validator cash boxes.
- Create a disk with bill validator amounts for entry into the SIS system.
- Count, strap, and record currency from table games drop boxes.
- Verify and audit table games drop box documents against the Drop Verification Report and correct system errors or discrepancies.
- Print closing reports and process end-of-day procedures in the LGS system.
- Test the accuracy of the counting machine monthly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Fill NRT machines.
- Remove cassettes and bill validators (BVs) from NRT machines.
- Remove coin and print paperwork required for balancing NRTs.
- Run all NRT funds to prepare for settlement.
