About The Position

Assists with supervising and controlling all activities within the Soft Count / Drop Teams process. This role involves ensuring timely completion of slot/bill acceptor drops and soft counts, coordinating personnel actions, maintaining supply inventory, and supervising/training staff. The Assistant Supervisor must ensure staff are trained in existing and new procedures, monitor co-worker interactions, and communicate non-routine activities to management. Effective communication with management, staff, and other departments is crucial for departmental operations. The position also requires safeguarding company assets, complying with all relevant policies and procedures, and monitoring the casino environment for safety. Working respectfully and effectively as part of the team is essential for guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires knowledge of the Meskwaki Casino Internal Controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and understand the Meskwaki Casino Internal Controls and standard operating procedures.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude toward staff and senior management.
  • Must be flexible with working hours and days off.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written; effectively instruct and guide all subordinates.
  • Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.
  • Must keep the Casino’s business confidential.

Responsibilities

  • Assures that Slot/Bill Acceptor (BA) drop and soft count functions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with the Soft Count / Drop Team Supervisor and Manager all personnel actions within the Soft Count / Drop Team area.
  • Maintains proper inventory of supplies needed to operate the Soft Count / Drop Teams functions.
  • Supervise and train staff in all aspects of their job functions.
  • Ensures that staff is properly trained in existing and new procedures.
  • Monitor and address mutual respect and interaction between co-workers.
  • Communicates all non-routine activities occurring within the Soft Count / Drop Team area to the supervisor and manager immediately.
  • Communicates effectively with management, staff and other departments in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  • Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
  • Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  • Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
  • Assists in developing, documenting and implementing procedures and controls over the Soft Count / Drop Team functions.
  • Will be required to sign certain forms to provide evidence that they participated in counts and machine testing.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
