About The Position

This is a 10-month position for a Counselor within the Castle Partial Care Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Willingboro, serving children and adolescents. The role involves the direct care and management of patients in a partial care treatment center, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, facilitating therapeutic groups, providing observational feedback, accurately recording patient progress, and transporting patients. The position operates Monday through Friday during the day.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field required.
• Experience with children in behavioral & mental health.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a therapeutic and safe environment for all patients.
• Facilitates regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
• Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
• Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
• Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from the program.
• Maintains certification in Handle with Care behavior management system.
• All other duties as assigned.
