Counseling Services at Cal Poly Pomona is seeking passionate individuals to support the psychological wellbeing and success of its students. The university, known for its learn-by-doing approach, enrolls 24,000 students and employs approximately 1,200 faculty. Cal Poly Pomona is committed to educational equity and serves a diverse student body. The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) department, accredited by IACS, offers a variety of mental health, psycho-educational, and outreach services. These non-tenure track Faculty Counselor Lecturer positions involve promoting student wellbeing, removing psychological barriers, and cultivating personal strengths through culturally competent services. The role requires excellence in clinical service delivery, including brief individual, couples, and group counseling, intakes, treatment planning, and referrals. Counselors also provide crisis intervention, consultation, and outreach services (e.g., psycho-educational programs) to various campus constituencies, serve as a resource to university offices, and provide clinical supervision for unlicensed clinicians. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
