Since 1970, GPHA has expanded to become one of the premier providers of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. We are presently seeking full-time Counselor IIIs in our Behavioral Healthcare Division. This position will perform a wide variety of tasks designed to effect the lasting rehabilitation of patients engaging in our mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring programs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Human Services field or related field
• Two (2) years of experience in substance abuse or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Psychology and one year of counseling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completion of intake assessments, individual counseling, group work and support of ancillary activities.
• Development of individualized treatment plans consistent with licensing and regulatory agencies’ guidelines.
• Maintenance of accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of service activities, interaction with client, and client progress.
• Collaboration with members of client’s treatment team, family, and personnel of other community agencies actively involved with client to coordinate treatment efforts.
• Participation in educational meetings and trainings related to alcohol abuse and mental illness treatment.
• Participation in quality assessment and improvement activities to develop and expand the efficiency and quality of Behavioral Healthcare Services.
