About The Position
The Clinical Social Work Supervisor on the Admissions Unit provides a full array of social work services to support patients’ recovery. Services include individual, group, and family therapy; patient assessments; treatment and discharge planning; case management; assessing patients’ needs upon discharge to the community; participation as a member of the treatment team; and service on facility committees. The role assists in identifying the age-specific needs of adult populations. In addition, the supervisor provides task and clinical supervision to assigned social work staff.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school or university.
Nice To Haves
- Previous master’s-level social work experience.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric facility with acutely mentally ill patients.
- Experience in clinical social work, therapeutic counseling, psychosocial assessments, and discharge planning.
- Knowledge and experience implementing psychiatric recovery principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
- Complete discharge planning and case management, including assessing patients’ needs upon discharge to the community.
