About The Position

Indiana Fitness Works is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work at Grand Valley Health & Rehabilitation. The role calls for treating residents and team members with respect and dignity. The COTA may conduct general activity programs and supportive or maintenance programs, but may not plan or evaluate individual or group treatment needs. They may make recommendations to the supervising OTR for consideration. The COTA reports directly to the immediate supervising OTR and communicates with other personnel about each patient's overall treatment program. The COTA maintains accurate treatment records and required paperwork under company policies, with the supervising Registered Occupational Therapist co-signing progress notes. Staff must follow the company's established policies and procedures. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are available. Pay is $32–$34 per hour, and overtime hours are available.

Requirements

• Hold current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
• Hold a permanent COTA license or be eligible to apply for a license to practice in the state, as applicable, through the Board of Medical Examiners.
• Be able to perform the listed physical job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• Membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association and state organizations is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities
