Costume Designer
About The Position
Milagro is seeking a creative Costume Designer for their Season 43 production, Marigolds y Memorias, a devised Dia de los Muertos Carpa show. The production begins with the first production meeting on August 26th and opens on October 16th. The Costume Designer will have access to a generous costume stock, a sewing room, and a budget for purchases. Collaboration with the director and other designers is expected, coordinated through weekly production meetings. The ideal candidate should possess strong design skills, be knowledgeable about construction techniques for quick-change costumes, and have the ability to sew.

Responsibilities
- Developing the visual concept of the production in coordination with the production Director(s)
- Developing renderings and/or drawings of costume design for the approval of designated personnel
- Coordination with designated personnel for purchases, pulling from stock, building, rentals, and organizing costumes according to the timeline set forth in the schedule
- Arranging measurement and costume fittings with appropriate staff
- Restocking, cleaning, returning borrowed or rented items within ONE WEEK of closing.
- Attendance at all production meetings and technical rehearsals.
