BAE Systems is seeking a Cost Analyst with exceptional analytic skills to join the Supplier Cost Analyst team. As a Supplier Cost Analyst, you will analyze supplier cost proposals and provide recommended negotiation positions to Subcontracts/ Procurement. Supplier Proposal Analyses are compliant with Electronic Systems estimating system policies and guidance, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)/ DFARs (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations) and Truthful Cost Pricing Data (TCPD) requirements. In addition, you will support customer request for information and audits of proposed material.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
Be able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment
Must have strong problem-solving, analytical and in-depth research skills
Effective communications skills to include writing reports of significant complexity and length with attention to detail.
Explain position/ issues verbally to co-workers, management and suppliers.
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel and suppliers
Utilize analytical and computer skills, and various software packages to prepare appropriate reports and documents
Support the analysis, evaluation, development and implementation process and system improvements within budget while adhering to strict time requirements and schedule
Experience in proposal preparation with a working knowledge of Project Finance, Contracts or Subcontract Administration with a working knowledge of Cost & Price Analysis for Department of War procurements
A working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) with an emphasis on FAR/DFAR compliant proposals
Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards, Contract Cost Principles and Procedures, and Accounting and Proposal preparation procedures

Responsibilities
