About The Position

The Cosmetology Adjunct Instructor serves at all campuses of Chattahoochee Technical College and reports to the Associate Dean of Professional Services/Design. The instructor provides guidance and instruction to prepare students with the technical competencies needed to work in cosmetology and performs all aspects of instruction for the Cosmetology program. This is a part-time appointment made on a per-academic-term basis, with no expectation that employment will continue beyond the term.

The position pays $26 per hour and does not include state benefits. Requirements

• Hold a current Georgia Master Cosmetologist License.
• Hold a current Georgia Master Cosmetologist Instructor License.
• Be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the assigned course.

• Complete pre-employment criminal background, motor vehicle records, and employer/professional reference checks.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and instruction to prepare students with technical competencies essential for work in cosmetology.
• Perform all aspects of instruction for the Cosmetology program, including lectures, labs, and other instructional activities.
• Evaluate students’ progress.
• Maintain required documentation.
• Perform or supervise lab setup and takedown.
• Ensure lab safety requirements are met.
• Perform other duties as defined by the Technical College System of Georgia.
