This role is responsible for a variety of tasks that will overhaul, rebuild, and renovate the vehicle to bring the condition of the exterior back to a presentable condition. This includes inspecting and identifying various needed cosmetic repairs using DriveTime standards and tools, completing glass repairs as necessary, and reviewing all completed work with a lead/supervisor. The associate will also use, store, and maintain equipment properly, perform other duties as assigned, and maintain daily performance logs reviewed with the Reconditioning Center General Manager. The role requires achieving established goals for throughput, efficiency, and quality, establishing consistency among cosmetic associates and technicians by adhering to and enforcing DT Standards, and reviewing and communicating all issues with the appropriate personnel. Daily area inspections are performed to ensure clean and safe workstations, and the associate must portray a positive image of DriveTime and actively participate in creating a positive, professional work environment. Maintaining workstation performance while adhering to DriveTime guidelines, policies, and practices, and acting ethically and with integrity at all times are crucial.

Requirements

  • Proficient in automotive repairs.
  • Able to trouble shoot basic automotive concerns.
  • Able to communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issue.
  • Able to meet metric performance targets.
  • Able to learn and operate basic computer systems.
  • Organized and punctual.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work space.
  • Able to learn and comply with all DriveTime standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or work experience equivalent (2 years or more) in automotive repair.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities
