About The Position

As a Cosmetic Associate III, Cosmetic, PDR, you will work at a Carvana Inspection Center, inspecting vehicles and performing paintless dent repair and other cosmetic services during the reconditioning process. The role requires an experienced understanding of paintless dent repair, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with teams across the organization. The position is hourly and full-time, reports to the Line Lead, Cosmetic, Paint, and requires no travel. The role involves work on varied vehicle tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced environment that may expose employees to heat, cold, noise, wet conditions, and vehicle-maintenance fumes or odors. The position is designated safety-sensitive and requires regular, predictable attendance. Requirements

At least 5–7 years of paintless dent repair or paint and body experience.
At least 5 years of preventative maintenance experience.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with no more than two moving violations or DUIs in the last three years.
Positive, can-do attitude and desire to work in a team setting.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Quality-first mentality and attention to detail.
Moderate understanding of vehicle mechanical repair.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with all departments at the Inspection Center.
Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines.
Ability to review and analyze information, identify problems, and make decisions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently and carry or transport up to 60 pounds for up to 20 feet.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and/or pull.
Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Requires frequent driving and computer data entry.
Must be able to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform cosmetic services such as blocking, body filler, crease repair, and plastic repair.
Complete heavy bodywork, rebuild body lines, perform stud welding, and repair wheels and rims.
Inspect vehicles for dent repairs as needed.
Perform paintless dent repair services on vehicles as needed.
Communicate collaboratively with the Cosmetic team when additional vehicle work is needed.
Follow operating rules, procedures, and standardized work initiatives.
Work on a variety of vehicle tasks for extended periods.
Coordinate and communicate with team members and departments involved in vehicle reconditioning.
Keep tools and supplies organized and maintain a clean, productive Cosmetic department.
Report safety issues and accidents to management immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
